Help Your Child Cope With The Effects Of Leukemia
Our "Just For Kids" store features several items to help your child cope with the effects of leukemia. Whether your child has been diagnosed or someone they love has leukemia, we offer products to help. One particular effect is nausea from chemo. We feature a lollipop, called queasy pops, that helps ease nausea. We have a selection of children's books to help children understand chemo, feelings associated with cancer and more. A product that we feature that has been helpful for my son is a stress ball. Kaden uses his ball when he has his port accessed for treatment. He doesn't like to have his port touched so he squeezes his ball through the procedure. So a stress ball can be used as a distraction through stressful situations. Since drinking plenty of fluids is important while receiving chemotherapy I have picked a collection of water bottles that are safe and free of harmful chemicals. These designs have fun characters and can make drinking fun and encourage more of it. Another product that we feature that Kaden has found to be fun and helpful is a baby doll with a medical kit. This can be a useful tool to help children going through difficult procedures understand what is happening to them. They can "perform the procedure" on their baby doll and you can discuss what is happening and how the baby is "feeling". Go ahead and browse through our kids section and be sure to check back soon. I will continue to add more products that I feel will be helpful in coping with leukemia.
